The crash was reported shortly after noon Friday near Exit 12 of the New Jersey Turnpike in Carteret, initial reports said.
It was not immediately clear if the truck driver was hurt. There was an active diesel fuel leak that caused afternoon traffic tie-ups, an unconfirmed report said.
A Middlesex County hazmat team was notified, reports said.
